Night Noise
Logline:
After her roommate leaves, a young college girl intends to have a relaxing evening at home on Halloween but discovers that she isn’t alone.
Synopsis:
Chelsea, a college student in her early twenties, is left home alone on Halloween when her roommate Shelby fails to talk her into going out with friends. Chelsea is stressed from school and work and is eager to relax at home with her trusty guard dog, a bottle of wine and a hot bath. Despite her best efforts to relax she finds herself on edge the entire night. With each glass of wine Chelsea becomes more and more frightened. First it’s unexplained noises followed by a mysterious phone call that put her on high alert when the door bell rings and she finds herself unprepared for who’s at the door. The next glass of wine brings more unexplained noises, lingering shadows outside her door and nothing but scary movie marathons on TV. Chelsea pours a third glass of wine, turns on her music and climbs into the tub in an attempt to finally relax but is interrupted once again by someone at the door. She answers the door only to find it’s not who she thought, she pours another glass of wine and things really take a turn for worse. She can hear someone outside over the pouring rain, she ditches the wine and runs to the safety and comfort of her bedroom. Hiding under the bed she is ready to pounce, listening as the intruder opens the door and works their way through the house to her bedroom. She strikes, taking the intruder by surprise from under the bed. Chelsea climbs out from under the bed and sees the intruder is revealed. Having lived through her own version of a scary movie, Chelsea decides that she is better off going out than staying home alone.

Director’s Statement:
"Night Noise is a short horror comedy about a stressed-out college student who lets her fear get the best of her while she’s home alone on Halloween trying to relax. It’s a particularly relatable story, inspired from my earlier years living with roommates and the paranoia many of us feel when we’re home alone in the dark, especially while watching eerie shows and movies. This film is full of surprises that will have audiences on the edge of their seats and laughing throughout."
